Sarah Michelle Gellar Biography

Sarah Michelle Gellar, the beautiful actress who rose to fame for her role as Buffy Summers on the television show 'Buffy the Vampire slayer She is a skilled film actress, too. When she was just four she was discovered by an agent and asked to audition for a role in the film on TV "An Invasion of Privacy.' It brought her into the media and she became a child model. In her early years, she continued to act in TV series , and even secured minor roles in Hollywood films. She appeared as an infant in minor parts in television series such as 'Spenserfor Hire' and 'Crossbow'. In the 1980s, she began to appear in minor parts that were not recognized in movies. Her most famous role is the role of Buffy Summers (a teenager who kills Vampires) in the television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". It ran seven seasons and the show ran 144 episodes. The show was a huge commercial and critical success. Gellar became a household name thanks to the show. She is a believer in giving back to the community and is involved with various charitable causes, such as Project Angel Food, Habitat for Humanity and CARE. In 2002, she married Freddie Prinze Jr. The couple has two kids.
