Roselyn Sanchez Bio
Roselyn Milagros Rodriguez is an Puerto Rican
singer/songwriter and dancer was born on April 2, 1973. Most well-known is her
television roles as Elena Delgado (2005-09), on the CBS procedural Without a
Trace (2013-16) as well as Carmen Luna (2013-16) on the Lifetime comedy-drama
Devious Maids (2013-16). Sanchez has also
appeared on Rush Hour 2 (1901), Boat Trip (2002), The Game Plan (2006) as well
as Act of Valor (2012). Sanchez is the
youngest of four siblings. She was born in San Juan (Puerto Rico) and has three
brothers older than her. Sanchez completed
her schooling at San Juan. She was a
talented actor and dancer from an early age, and was a part of shows with her
family. Sanchez along with her father and
brothers was enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico to learn about
marketing. After three years, she made the
decision to quit the school. Sanchez was
then 18 and relocated to New York City in 1991. She attended classes in
singing, acting, and dancing. Following
her return to Puerto Rico, Sanchez made her debut film in the year 1992. She
was offered a tiny part as an island girl in the film Captain Ron, which was
partly shot in Puerto Rico. Sanchez was a
dancer from Puerto Rico and co-host of Que Vacilon the variety show. In 1993, Sanchez won Miss Puerto Rico Petite. In 1994, she
won Miss American Petite. This made her famous internationally. Sanchez was featured on numerous annual lists of gorgeous
women such as Maxim Magazine's Hot 100 in 2001, 2002, and 2006; AskMen.com’s
Top 99 Most Desirable Women in 2005 and 2006. and FHM's 100 Sexiest Women of
2005 and 2006.
