Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zuer, an Israeli actress, has
received praise for her performances. She was born in Tel Aviv and was first
recognized by Hollywood when Steven Spielberg cast her in her first
English-speaking role , Eric Bana’s wife in Munich (2005). Since moving to the
United States, Zurer has been in Studio films such as Sony Pictures' Vantage
Point featuring Dennis Quaid and William Hurt and Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive
Pieces with Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader's Adam Resurrected alongside Jeff
Goldblum and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons opposite Tom Hanks.
Darling Companion is an ensemble of Lawrence Kasdan that features Diane Keaton
and Kevin Kline. Warner Bros. Man Of Steel alongside Russell Crow. Ewan
McGregor was the director of Rodrigo Garcia, Last Days in the Desert. She also
waited for the release of The Last Knights, a film directed by Kazuaki Kiriya,
starring Clive Owen. Recently, she won the Gold Nymph Award for Outstanding
Actress in a Drama Series at the 54th Festival of TV of Monte-Carlo for her
role in the show "Hostages". Ayelet was nominated for the Israeli
Film and Television Academy Award for her work in Nina's Tragedies. She also
received nominations for her work in the feature films Only Dogs Run Free, The
Dybbuk from the Holy Apple Field, Desperado, and Rutenberg. She was awarded the
Haifa International Film Festival critic prize and received a star on Haifa’s
"film boulevard" for her achievements in the local and international
arenas. Zurer was also awarded the Israeli Television Academy Award for her
performance on "In Treatment" internationally acclaimed television
series that has been adapted to American TV by HBO. She was also nominated in
the category of an apt performance in 2014's most popular drama "Shtisel"
as well as received the award for most outstanding actress for drama for her
role as a brilliant surgeon facing the death-and-life dilemma in Hostages. The
show was sold to BBC4 and Canal Plus and the American ABC. Golbary Israel's top
woman-focused clothing brand, is her "face". She is a producer, a
artist, writer and the illustrator for two adult books, "Shorts" and
the top-selling "Badolina" written by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet is working
on several projects in Israel and the United States. She has expressed an
interest in international collaboration with directors from all over the world
because she believes in joining with unknown directors and writers.
