Markie Post
Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She
started her career as a TV and film producer, including "The New Card
Sharks", (1978) and "Card Sharks" (1986). She produced projects
like Double Dare (1976), and has appeared on many TV shows, including E! True Hollywood
Story (1996) and Electra Woman (2000). Perhaps her most famous TV role was as
"Christine Sullivan" on Night Court (1984). She was featured in 156
episodes of this comedy from 1984 to 1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her
mother. She is a poet and noted nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post
(November 14, 1918-April 7, 2015). She had two daughters with her second
husband Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987) and Daisy Ross (born
March 30 90, 1990). Her birthplace was Palo alto, California and grew up near
Walnut Creek, California. As cheerleader, she attended Las Lomas High school
located in Walnut Creek. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon
awarded her a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a trickroper in The Wildest West
Show of the Stars (1986). Was cremated and her cremated remains returned to her
husband Michael A. Ross. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post passed away
on 7 August 2021, three months before what would be her 71st birthday, which
was on November 4. She passed away just 27 days after fellow Night Court (1984)
co-star Charles Robinson, who passed away on July 11, 2021. While the two shows
were not related, Night Court (1984) was the final show to end with Christine
Sullivan's character relocating to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) began
with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992),
after which she relocated to a smaller community after her time in Washington
DC.
